COVID-19
We are doing the best we can to make wise, caring, measured choices moment to moment. With the deepest consideration to both the health and well-being of our community, as well as the health of our therapists, some changes will be taking place. As new information has arrived regarding COVID-19 and best practices for the community. Currently we are seeing clients both virtually or in-person depending on need and availability.
It is CHC’s position that based on the needs of a client it is possible to provide services at a physical office space instead of, or in addition to telehealth. There are risks and benefits to conducting services in person during this time. If a therapist determines a client needs an in-person session a consent outlining the risks and benefits will be discussed with you prior to the first session.
We are also are including a telehealth FAQ below. Please let us know if you have any questions and concerns this raises for you. We are here to work through this with you. Most importantly, We are here to remind us all of the simple yet profound truths that we are all in this together.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth provides a HIPAA compliant platform for us to meet virtually, similar to FaceTime or Skype
How does it work? And what kind of device can I use?
About five minutes before the appointment, your therapist will send you a link to the meeting. You simply click on the link from any device (IPad, computer, smart phone)
Is it HIPAA Compliant?
Yes, We use a platform called doxy.me that meets all the HIPAA requirements to protect your confidentiality, and does not store any iformation nor require any protected health information.
Will my insurance cover it?
You will want to check your plan to ensure coverage. You can do this by calling the number on the back of your insurance card. Most insurance plans do cover this option.
What are the telehealth cancellation fees?
Telehealth cancellation fees are the same as in-person: cancellations with less than 24-hour notice will be charged the $50.00 fee.
