Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Joe Akoh is board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with training in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry. He provides medication evaluations and ongoing medication management and support within multiple Family Innovations clinics. Joe graduated with his BA in Criminology and Psychology from the University of Minnesota. He then completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing before completing his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Dakota. Joe has provided mental health services throughout the community over the past 20 years.

Joe frequently sees patients for Anxiety, Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Depression, Psychiatry Consultation, and Sleep Problems. Joe offers support for other needs and will work with you to find what your best fit of action is.

Joe will be providing services in person at our New Brighton location. He will offer telehealth services with our Andover and Ramsey locations.
