Marissa Marx is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s of Science in School Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and 10 years of experience. Marissa is a board approved supervisor and is enjoying diving into the role of supporting new therapists as they begin their careers helping others.
Marissa has worked with children in foster care, families in the social services system, and has experience providing therapy to those with special needs and neurodivergence. Becoming trauma-competent has been a recent venture she has enjoyed. She believes the relationship between client and therapist is pivotal to success in the therapeutic process. Marissa enjoys engaging clients in creative ways and making therapy a non-intimidating concept.
In her leisure time, Marissa enjoys time with her three sons and husband. Together, they camp, walk outside, explore new playgrounds and walking trails. They also cook, bake, and indulge together. She enjoys taking group fitness and dance classes for her own form of therapeutic self-care.
