My treatment approach centers on bringing creativity, humor, and deep respect into my work with clients. I see the work of therapy as deep listening to create kind, compassionate relationships with all the parts of ourselves. I love working with people to develop their values, preferences, dignity, and freedom. Trauma therapy takes immense courage and it is my honor to walk alongside clients in their journeys towards healing.

Education and Experience
Chris obtained her Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychology in 2018 and her Doctorate of Counseling Psychology in 2023 from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. She also has a Bachelor of Art in Vocal Performance and a Master of Art in Opera Performance. She conducted practicum trainings at Bethel University (college counseling), Water's Edge Counseling and Healing (intensive outpatient psychotherapy), University of Minnesota Child and Adolescent Strengths Program (CASP) (adolescent psychosis screening and individual therapy), and Parker Collins Family Mental Health (individual therapy). During her doctorate, Chris worked as an individual therapist at Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) and volunteered as a crisis counselor for the National Suicide Prevention Line and Walk-in Counseling. She completed her doctoral internship at Mental Health Systems (individual and group DBT).
Specialized Training
Chris is a certified Anchored Relational (formerly AIR Network) therapist. This type of therapy is designed especially for working with people who experience complex trauma and dissociative symptoms. She has received in-depth training in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and is also certified in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Chris has extensive experience working with people in crisis, emerging adults, and performing and visual artists.
Areas of Clinical Interest
In addition to specialized trauma therapy services, Chris loves working with adolescents (13-19), emerging adults (18-25), artists, ex-evangelicals, and people who have experienced religious trauma. She enjoys incorporating mindfulness, art, and play therapy techniques into individual and group therapy.

Personal Statement
I have the privilege of working with teens and adults that are dealing with general mental health issues as well as psychological trauma. Healing happens as we begin to see ourselves as worthy of unconditional love and respect. I love working with people to find their own sense of strength, dignity, and freedom in their lives.
